Sparkling Snowflake Skirt

I  made two skirts this weekend for Blythe and other similar dolls that I just added to my Etsy Store. it sparkles in the light.

I made them out of glitter white cotton yarn. I just love how it sparkles in the light.

The pattern I made was only suppose to have 6 points but I hadn't tested the pattern and was re-writing it as I crocheted. I ended up with a 12 point skirt. I think I like it better but it will need some starch to lay right.  Sometimes mistakes are good!

I made Blythe a new outfit this weekend

I made Blythe a new outfit this weekend. The dress pattern is a free one I found on Ravelry.  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blythe-lacey-mini-dress. I want to add some lacy sleeves to it.

Once I tinker around with the pattern some more, the outfit (minus the shoes) may end up at my Etsy store.  http://www.etsy.com/shop/AimsCreation?ref=si_shop

Luna's Wardrobe keeps growing!

I made Luna a new sweater this week. I am suppose to be making items for my Etsy store but instead I keep making Luna clothes. Actually, I was trying to size down a sweater for Petite Blythe but when I realized it wasn't small enough I just figured I would keep going and Luna would get another piece of clothing. The sleeves are a tad too tight to easily get her arms in. I had a hard time getting them in. I think for further references I will make the arms in all her clothing very bagging. I am so afraid I will break her strings inside. I don't won't to have to try to restring her.

Knitting for Luna

I finally made Luna some clothes so she didn't have to run around naked. I used my phone to take pictures so they didn't turn out too good. It is a good camera phone but my hands tend to shake some so it takes a blurry picture. Plus, my house has horrible lighting so I have usually have dark pictures.

I had patterns for the top that I re-sized to fit Luna. The pants pattern came from Fiona McDonald's Knitted Fairies book.

Here she is again in the Cherry Tree.

I just made up the pixie hat as I knitted it. It came out a little tight so if I make another I will have to had a few more stitches.
This so far is my favorite outfit. I don't know if it is the thread coloring or just how cute it turned out. I had a pattern for the dress that I altered but I just made up the hat as I went. I do plan on resizing this outfit and trying to make if for petite blythe to sell at my Etsy store.
One of these days I will get a better camera and make better scenes to take these pictures.

Well at least she has a couple of outfits to change into. I do plan to break out the sewing machine soon and made some more but it is just easier to get the yarn and knitting or crocheting stuff out then the sewing machine.

My new Nabiyette-- Luna

Nabiyette from Garden of Dolls

I recently got a new doll. She is my 1st BJD and I just love her!! She is a Nabiyette from Garden of Dolls. She has a white complexion, blue eyes and is 5 1/2 inches tall. I have decided to name her Luna. This is the 1st of my dolls that I have decided to name. This may start a trend and I will have to come up with names for my other dolls.
My Luna (Nabiyette)

Here I attempted to make her a wig. I love the color on her. I thought this was too fluffy plus it just wouldn't stay on. So I will just have to re-think it and figure it out. I think I will try to put the non slip thingy that goes under area rugs to see if that will help make it stay on.

Luna in the the knitted tree
Here she is in my cherry blossom tree. I was trying to make a tree that she could climb in. I also started a dress for her but didn't get too far. She only has the top on right now. I tend to have several projects going at one time. I had to decided to delay the clothing project to finish the tree. Though I will have to make her some clothes eventually, she can't stay naked forever!

Sakura--My cherry blossom tree

I just love Sakura but I always seem to miss our local cherry blossom festival so I thought I would create my own. I thought I would make several trees and a grass scene with a creek flowing through the trees and of course cherry blossoms blowing everywhere.  I just finished my 1st tree. I got the crochet flower pattern online somewhere, but I just freehanded the knitted tree. It's base is made of a 16 oz soda bottle with rocks to weight it down. This makes it very stable to sit anywhere. I am not too happy with the tree itself but I do like how it sits anywhere. Oh well, practice makes perfect so maybe I do better on the other trees.

New bags/purses for Bythe, Pullip, Monster High sized dolls

I just added 3 new crocheted bags to my Etsy site. I actually made them a few weeks ago, but never got around to taking pictures to advertise them on Etsy. I really need a new camera or some better lighting. I took these with my new Samsung phone. I think the pictures look better than the ones I take with my Sony camcorder.

Every doll needs a place to put all her necessary items she can't live without.....Hair accessories, change of clothes, scarves, or even her favorite small dog!

The purses measure roughly 2 inches square and are made of 100 percent cotton. Visit my Esty shop to see them: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AimsCreation?ref=si_shop

Petite Blythe Knitted Cardigan

I was in the mood to knit small scale this week and I knitted a cardigan for Petite Blythe. I think it turned out rather cute. I may have to make some more soon. I seem to be having a problem with closures on these small items. I first tried a hook and loop closure that didn't pull the flower down right. So I ended up with a snap but I think it makes it bulky.

I also finally finished up the Petite Bythe's turquoise dress that was only missing a closure. I had been putting it off because I was looking for a better alternative to the velcro I had used on the Peachy/Orange one I had made. I had used the thinnest velcro I could find but I thought it was too bulky. I just went with a snap, but I still don't like it. I need to find a better alternative to doll clothes closures.

Crochet Beaded Bracelets

I have been busy making bracelets lately. I found this neat pattern and couldn't stop making them. I now have an excess of them so I put them on my etsy site to unload some. http://www.etsy.com/shop/AimsCreation?ref=si_shop  I love the the clasps on them. They are so easy to get on and off; I can do it all by myself without having to get help from one of my boys or husband.
These are the ones I have for sale on Etsy right now.

This one is light purple thread with pastel beads.

This one is tan thread with copper and brown beads.

This one is pink with rectangle light pink and crystal beads that remind me of coral.

This one is earth tones.

My 1st Etsy Sale!

I had my 1st Etsy sale! I had pretty much decided that Etsy was a place for creative people just to admire other's creations. I was shocked when I got an e-mail that said I had my 1st sale. It only took 2 months! Though I am not really trying to make things just to sell. I make items as my hobby and I need an outlet to get rid of these items or I will have a house full of unuseful clutter. Though it is already heading that way. I need to take some time to do a thourough cleaning and de-clutter my life. Back to Etsy, I thought if I tried to sell a few of the better looking items I would have a little extra money to fund my hobby. I am not looking to make a profit, just to have enough money to enjoy what I like to do in my spare time. So today I get to ship off the items below and hopefully in a few days someone will be excitedly opening their package anxious to see what's inside. I always love getting packages in the mail. It's like Christmas morning, even when you are the one that ordered it and you know what it is.
Here is what finally sold:

Knitting for Blythe

I knitted this last winter. I had found the pattern in a book I had and downsized it to fit Blythe.  I need to tweak it a bit and add a button to the front or some type of closure. I would like to add sleeves or something.

Snowflake skirt for Blythe

I came across these photos of the snowflake skirt I made for my Blythe this past winter and thought i would share. I really liked making this and might have to make a few more. Maybe in different colors.

One of these days I will have to get a better camera. All my photos are sucky!
It is hard to see but the skirt even had a snowflake button in the back. I do really need a better camera!

Creating for Blythe

Here is my Petite Bythe in an outfit I made for her.

I decided to make a shawl for a sleeveless doll dress and decided it would also be a great coverup wrap and accessory; so I made several more.

Every girl needs a big bag for all her necessities!

It got warm so I started crocheting sleeveless tops for my Blythe.

Here is another bag. There are more on my Etsy site. http://www.etsy.com/shop/AimsCreation?ref=si_shop

CROCHET WRISTLET

I got tired of lugging around a purse full of unnecessary junk every time I went somewhere so I scaled down. I made these little wristlets that was just big enough to carry a cell phone, cash, license and keys; Just the necessities!http://www.etsy.com/shop/AimsCreation?ref=si_shop
